I appreciate this so much, and I am continually inspired by your process. Thank you for sharing. I wonder if you could tell me how long it took for you to build a community of readers to your work? I have been writing and sharing my work regularly now for a little over a year on Instagram, (@emily.p.perry) and for about 4 months on Substack. I feel inspired and very connected to what I offer, yet, the growth has been very very slow. I feel perhaps, that I might need an outside observer to offer tips or suggestions, yet, as I mentioned I feel deeply connected to what I'm sharing and wouldn't want to disrupt the creative flow. I guess my question has two parts: how long did it take you to build a community, and do you make adjustments to your work based on the feedback you're receiving, or do you stay true to what comes through you? Again, many thanks for your beautiful work.

It took a long time for me, the first two years were especially slow. That was another point I should have added, that it’s all about continuously writing and sharing. I’ve been sharing online since 2014, so 9 years of consistent sharing that’s gotten me to the audience I have now. Wishing you much success!

Thank you so much for these words of encouragement. I feel very shy about sharing my writing, but I’m about to start anyway. Your words are truly special and ones I turn to as if I were talking to a friend. Thank you. (Side note-I just posted my first Substack note, so thank you, again.)

Hello Yung, I’m a newbie here on Substack. I’m so glad I just found you and your place. Wow! I was so surprised that we have so many things in common!! For example, my page is “KO Elevate,” which is a combination of the word, “Co-elevate” that I created a few years ago on MEDIUM, and the acronym of my First and Last names. I look forward to reading your books, and publications.

Thank you!! 💓
