“Absolutely love Yung Pueblo and any of his writings!! I struggle with a lot of issues as a Combat Veteran. I’ve worked to change my life for the better. YP has helped me grow and his works like these remind me of the work I need to do. This book is a great continuation of his last three works. Love is such a powerful feeling and state of mind, but it does not inherently guarantee that the two people love connects will have a harmonious relationship. It is quite common to love someone without knowing how to properly care for them.
It is painful to be the one giving amply to the relationship and even though you know your partner loves you, you see them struggle to care for you properly. It is also painful to feel the depth of a connection and see that you are struggling to give the connection what it needs to flourish.
Before you can remedy this struggle, you need to embrace the realization that you can feel strongly for someone and there may still be a gap between the two of you, a gap that can only be filled with the intentional learning of how to care for each other.
