I’m happy to announce that my second book, Clarity & Connection, is now available for pre-order. This book is the second part of a trilogy that began with Inward. It has a similar format to my first book; it is full of poetry and short essays. You can open up to any page and get material to reflect on for the rest of the day. Clarity & Connection focuses on the ups and downs of personal transformation and ways to deepen the connection within relationships.
Inward was all about turning on your inner light and starting the journey of self-love and healing. Clarity & Connection builds on that same energy. The name of the book is based on the fact that when you go inward you gain a great amount of clarity and once you have that clarity, your connections with other people become deeper and much more fulfilling.
The cover of Clarity & Connection is a minimalistic take on ripples moving through the water, on the back cover the ripples continue moving and eventually intersect with another set of ripples. The front cover symbolizes the clarity that emerges from going inward and the back cover symbolizes the connection created by two beings who are working on knowing themselves.
Most of my time during the pandemic was spent working on Clarity & Connection. It was a process full of ups and downs, the challenges of writing a book really helped me see more of myself. I am so happy with how it has turned out. If you loved Inward, I think you will also deeply enjoy Clarity & Connection and find it useful. Like most of my writing, it is meant for those who are beginning, or are in the midst of, a great transformation. I hope my new book serves you well.
You can pre-order my book through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop, Book Depository and wherever books are sold. You can click the underlined links above or the links down below for the different places where you can make pre-orders.
Two thoughts:
Ignoring your intuition is one of the fastest ways to take a wrong turn when you are traveling through life. If you feel your being is giving you a clear signal, listen and follow it. Not the cravings of the mind that just seek short term pleasure, but the clear internal pull that leads you toward purpose and asks you to overcome old limitations and fears. Your intuition will make your life better in the long run, but in the short run it will challenge you deeply so you can take great leaps forward in your personal evolution. Your intuition is guiding you toward more growth. If you have to move against what is common in society, so be it. If you have to create a new path that doesn’t already exist, do it. Let the hard advice you are giving yourself take priority.
Give people the opportunity to help and support you. You are actually giving people a chance to commit a wholesome and meritorious action by saying yes to the kindness and support they offer. The same way it is important to serve others, it is valuable to let others serve you. When we let others help us, we are actively letting go of the egocentric idea that we can handle everything on our own. Human beings are meant to live in community, which means finding a balance of giving and receiving within the social groups that we call home. When we help each other, we simultaneously practice selflessness and make our own futures brighter, every action plants a seed that will later blossom and bring its fruit into our lives.
Journal Prompt:
What is your intuition telling you now? If it is asking you to do something difficult, is there a way for you to gently take steps forward into accomplishing this task? Are you allowing people to give you support when you need it? If the message from your intuition is persistent, what is stopping you from seeing it through?
Book Recommendation:
I just finished reading a great science fiction book called Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. It has been a while since I found a book this captivating. It had me so enraptured that even my wife was commenting on how much it had grabbed my attention. It tells the story of how humanity tries to survive a great cataclysm.
