Difficulties will appear because that is a natural part of life, but difficulties only become problems when you are too attached.

First and foremost, I see myself as a meditator.
Meditating then activated my creativity and gave me the courage to start writing.
Even though I knew that I was not fully wise or free, it felt right to openly share the lessons I was learning on Instagram starting in 2014. The aim was to hopefully inspire others as they traverse their own paths to greater self-awareness.
I did not foresee that being a writer also means owning your own business. It took a lot of learning and courage to properly balance the business side of writing.
Now that I am also in the venture capital world and running a startup, it has become quite clear that themes continue appearing about how to navigate business in a manner that supports your personal growth, success, and alignment with living compassionately.
These are the 9 rules that I have learned during my time as a business owner:
Inner success is outer success: Inner success is mental clarity and inner peace, without these the mind remains in a mode of tension which will make your perception clouded and driven by the heaviness of your past. Always creating space for your cultivation, healing and growth will help you arrive into daily life as a better version of yourself. True inner peace means letting go of ego. This inner work not only improves the relationship between you and yourself, but it also enhances the vibe you emit into the world. Peaceful awareness not only helps you connect with people better and make good decisions, but it makes you stick out in a positive way. Calmness is exceedingly valuable in our tense world. How you cultivate yourself internally will show up in everything you create and share with the world.
Detachment helps you solve challenges: Difficulties will appear because that is a natural part of life, but difficulties only become problems when you are too attached. When you can feel the tension in your mind when a challenge appears, recognize the tension and intentionally let it go. When you remember that this is not the end of the world and that all challenges are temporary, your mind will regain its balance and help you see the situation more clearly. Attachment makes the ego bigger and rigid. Detachment helps you look at a situation from more perspectives than just your own.
Make your goals bigger: Sometimes people who want to do good in the world think too small. There is nothing wrong with wanting to live a simple life. But if you have goals that you want to grow into, make them bigger. Especially if you are trying to live your life from a place of compassion, where you do not want to harm yourself or others, this is incredibly necessary energy for the world. Don’t be afraid to aim for big impact. Having a big impact does not necessarily mean having a big ego. If you actively work on letting go of craving and aversion, you can still have big goals that can help uplift humanity. The world needs more good people who aim to help in big ways.
